Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 26, 2026

Chorder is published by Ezekiel Apps. This Privacy Policy explains how Chorder handles information when you use the app.

Summary

Chorder is designed to work on your device. The app does not require an account, does not include advertising, does not include analytics, and does not send your imported charts, microphone audio, or app library data to Ezekiel Apps servers.

Information you provide to the app

Chorder lets you import and manage song charts. Depending on how you use the app, this may include:

  • PDF files or other chart files you choose to import.
  • Song titles, artists, keys, chords, lyrics, setlists, notes, tags, and edits you create in the app.
  • App preferences such as theme choices and display settings.

This information is stored locally on your device so the app can display, search, edit, and organize your charts.

Microphone access

Chorder may request microphone access for the experimental chord detection feature.

Microphone audio is processed on your device to estimate chords and beat information. Chorder does not record, save, upload, or share microphone audio with Ezekiel Apps. You can deny microphone permission or stop chord detection at any time.

On-device processing

Chorder uses on-device processing for features such as PDF import, chart parsing and editing, Nashville number conversion, transposition, capo display, and chord detection.

The app does not use these features to transmit your chart contents or audio to Ezekiel Apps.

Information shared with third parties

Chorder does not sell your information and does not share your imported charts, app library, notes, or microphone audio with third parties.

Some app functionality uses Android platform services and libraries on your device, such as file picking, local storage, and on-device text recognition. Your use of Google Play and Android device services is also subject to Google’s privacy policies and your device settings.

Device backup and transfer

Depending on your Android device settings, app data may be included in Android backup or device-to-device transfer features provided by the operating system. Ezekiel Apps does not control those Android backup services.

Data retention and deletion

Your app data remains on your device until you delete it in the app, clear the app’s data, uninstall the app, or remove files using Android system tools.

To delete Chorder data, you can:

  • Delete songs, setlists, notes, tags, or imported charts in the app where supported.
  • Use Android Settings to clear Chorder’s app data.
  • Uninstall Chorder from your device.

Children’s privacy

Chorder is not directed to children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

Ezekiel Apps may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted with a new effective date.
